COVID-19 UPDATE

Northern Beaches Area continues to have the 3rd highest rate of confirmed COVID-19 cases in NSW, but this has remained unchanged at 50 cases for the past five days. Across NSW, the rate of confirmed cases in the 20-39 years age group now significantly outnumbers the 60-79 years age group.

GARBAGE WARS!

We know that alcohol consumption is easing the stress of social isolation here at the Pines, but PLEASE do not dispose of your empty beer bottles in the Green Waste bins. Green Waste bins have GREEN lids and are for plant refuse from the garden only (though colour-blind wasted residents are a temptation!).

ABSEILERS ABOVE!

Abseilers will be working on the roof area from Wednesday this week, repairing joints in the roof parapet. This means that the roof area will be closed and off limits for several days.

UNIT 38 RENOVATION UPDATE

The worst of the heavy work is now over and most renovations should be completed in the next 3-4 weeks.

UPDATE ON LIFT INDICATOR

The problem with the lack of internal floor indicator numbers is a long-term and ongoing one. We have a very old lift (albeit one in good and well-maintained condition). The computer chips which direct the floor indicator have been ‘fried’ for some time now and we can no longer source replacement parts. Last visit we tried to install substitute chips from another old lift, but obviously this did not work. We have been advised that the only solution is to install a new computer control board, for which the newer model chips can be used.

We are awaiting Hamilton (lift consultants) to be available do the work, and Diana has this in hand (at which time we will also adjust the door closing speed).

PINES DELIVERIES/VISITOR POLICY

All deliveries of food and parcels; all visitors and tradespeople are a source of potential infection.  They must be accepted or greeted personally at front door.
