NEXT FRIDAY (11th October) the controller that stores the memory of all the swipes that are used to enter the building on the lobby level and the lifts on B1 and B2 will be upgraded.
This means all residents will be issued new swipes.
During the course of the week Diana, the Pines’ EC Secretary, will contact residents to arrange the number of swipes needed for each unit and will make arrangements for their delivery. Each bagged and coded swipe will contain the name of the person it is meant for. A record will be kept of the code of each individual’s designated swipe.
If an individual loses their swipe and needs a replacement, the lost swipe will be eliminated from the controller’s memory.
When you receive your swipes, please put them in a safe place. Be Careful:
Note that they will look very similar to the old swipes so keep them separate and discard the old swipe as soon as the new system becomes operational.
ON Friday 11th OCT., carry both swipes with you, if going out, as at some point during the day the new swipe will become operational, and the old one will not work.
A notice will be put up in the lift to remind you of the changeover.
