MAJOR WORKS UPDATE: SUN 19 MAR 2023

Progress Report

Painting of the Southern (2-bed) Elevation to be completed this coming week, with some balcony touch-ups to be addressed.

All garages in the B2 clothesline area are currently accessible until further notice, as is the clothesline. This will change when the hanging stage is repositioned for any painting and spalling works on the Eastern Elevation.

Week Ahead

Tiling to begin for affected Southern Elevation (2-bed) balconies.

Work is expected to begin during this coming week, but probably not before Wednesday. Tilers will work from the top down on 2-3 balconies at a time (weather and manpower permitting).

Affected residents who are having their internal hob face tiled are requested to allow a metre of access space inside the sliding door and hinged door, and to retain protective plastic on their floor (if present), to allow for work on the inside face of the hobs.

Affected residents are requested to leave their sliding door and hinged door unlocked for the duration of works scheduled for their unit.

Unit 21 door: Builders (Fluid) are still waiting for replacement door.
Unit 3: Delayed start means work currently underway.

Eastern (3-bed) Elevation
Door installation for Units 16, 14A and 10 will take place during the week.

Excluding the delayed Unit 3 (Southern elevation) work, this will mean all scheduled balcony screeding, membrane and door removal and re-installation work will be completed by the end of the week.

Balcony Tiling for Affected Eastern (3-bed) Balconies
A reminder that balcony tiling will not take place until the cleaning and painting of internal balcony (painted) surfaces is completed after doors are replaced. This is to avoid any damage to the new tiles.

At this time, any spalling and/or rust marks on balcony ceilings (soffits) or other areas will be investigated, treated and prepared for painting.

Thank you.
