LIFT UPDATE
It’s bad news, I’m afraid.
The lift will be out of action until Wednesday 22nd December, although if all goes well we may be in motion a day or so earlier.
Unfortunately for us the Pines’ lift gearbox was found to be seized, and the worm shaft has had to to be completely rebuilt. This is very difficult for all of us, but it will be fixed!
In the meantime, we have serviced the problematic fire door locks so they open more easily, but please remember to always carry your keys in the firestairs and be careful … the stairs are steep.
