COVID-19 UPDATE 13 May 2020

Northern Beaches Area has had the 3rd highest rate of confirmed COVID-19 cases in NSW. ALL people who have cold or flu-like symptoms, no matter how mild, are urged to be tested.

Testing for COVID-19 is available at the Manly Town Hall (council chambers).

NSW will ease social-distancing restrictions on Friday, meaning up to 10 people will be allowed in cafes and restaurants and outdoor gyms. Outdoor pools and playgrounds will reopen.

However, as asymptomatic people still present a level of unknown risk, Social Distancing is still strongly required. To that end, the Pines’ Deliveries/Visitor Policy must remain in place.

All deliveries of food and parcels; all visitors and tradespeople are a source of potential infection.  They must be accepted or greeted personally at front door.

We are awaiting seed delivery for the winter planting of the veggie garden. Seeds on order include ‘Tuscan Cavolo Nero’ kale; red spring onions; warrigal greens (NZ spinach); early ‘flame’ and baby cos lettuces. Summer planting of tomatoes, and herbs such as chives and basil will have to wait for warmer, sunnier months.
